BeShiny Psalms — Scottish-inspired psalmody, with a purple open Bible and thistles beside a Highland loch

BeShiny Psalms

Scottish-inspired psalmody.

Your statutes have been my songs
In the house of my pilgrimage.

Psalm 119:54 (NKJV)

For God is the King of all the earth;
Sing praises with understanding.

Psalm 47:7 (NKJV)

BeShiny Psalms brings the words of the Psalms into song through original Scottish-inspired musical settings. Distinctive voices, answering harmonies and acoustic instruments follow each passage’s movement. Pipes, harp, fiddle and cello give space to longing and lament, gathering strength where the psalm calls for courage and joyful praise.

Our vision is to help the Psalms become familiar words on our lips, shaping how we worship and live. We sing them as people who belong to Jesus Christ, learning to trust the Father and pray in the Holy Spirit. Through personal prayer, household worship and the life of the gathered Church, these songs invite us to remember Scripture, seek God’s face and carry His praise into ordinary days.

Our first psalm

Begin with Psalm 27: a confession of courage, a prayer for God’s presence and a call to patient hope.

Let the Psalms shape our prayer

Listen with the passage open. Return to a line that speaks to your day, and let it become your prayer. Sing it in the quiet of your home, share it with your household, or carry its words into the Church’s worship and witness.
